Angkor – Cambodia
A world heritage site and a must see for anyone that comes to South East Asia. Angkor is a collection of different sites and temples that you can explore on foot or by tuk-tuk. Most visitors will spend 3 days here, since the area is vast.
For those that want to visit, book a hotel or hostel in Siem Reap, the city next to Angkor. You can find some lively bars there too. Flight tickets are around $150 for a return flight.
Bali – Indonesia
Arguably one of the nicest islands in Indonesia is Bali, a tourist attraction from the rich and famous to backpackers on a gap year. Bali offers beautiful sights inland such as Ubud and Pura Besakih, though most are going to Bali to spend time on the beach.
For those that are looking from some beach time, visit Kuta Beach. This place is very busy and great place to hang out, eat, drink and party. For those that look for a little bit more quiet, visit Sunar beach. Return tickets will set you back roughly $200.

Another amazing island destination is Boracay in the Philippines. You can find beautiful beaches at Yapak and White Beach. You can find some affordable hostels just outside of the resort strip and bars are plenty around here too.
Boracay offers many activities, such as snorkeling, diving, freediving and kitesurfing. For those that have a few days here, go island-hopping and explore beautiful quiet beaches on some of the smaller islands. Flying will cost you a little less than $400, but it's well worth it!
Luang Prabang – Laos
A little less known than most of our other picks, Luang Prabang is an ideal place just to chill in the jungle. The city isn’t very large but has a beautiful center with many bars and restaurants based on its old French colonial heritage.
A must do is visiting the waterfalls that can be found just outside the town. In the evening most bars close down around 10, however, for those that want to have another drink the bowling alley stays open till late. A return ticket is around $250.
